Tenders are invited for Supporting Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Deployment in Bahia (Brazil) The overall aim of this work is to support the Government of Bahia, in particular the State Infrastructure Secretariat (SEINFRA), in developing a strategy and regulations for the deployment of electric vehicle charging infrastructure on the [primary] road network. The proposed work will cover the following main components: 1. Propose a strategy for SEINFRA to pilot electric charging infrastructure on one or several highways, assessing the potential for implementing EV charging stations and ranking the priority of the need for intervention. 2. Prepare relevant case studies from other states in Brazil and other countries on their regulatory frameworks for the implementation of EV charging infrastructure. 3. Analyze the existing regulatory framework for road contracts in Bahia, including a review of existing business models, to identify barriers and opportunities for the implementation of EV charging infrastructure in road projects.
