Description:
Expression of Interest are invited for Strategic Country Cluster Evaluation of the Amazon Biome The aim of this country cluster evaluation of the Amazon is to draw evidence of GEF-s contribution to strengthening biodiversity conservation, reducing deforestation and degradation, and improving community livelihoods in the Amazon. Reflecting on the three phases of the ASLprogram , this evaluation also aims to provide insights and lessons for future programming, design, and implementation of the GEF-s work in the region. The evaluation will be conducted at three levels: strategic; program and project; and country levels. The findings from this evaluation will feed into OPS8. At the strategic level, the evaluation will assess: 1. Evolution of ASL Program in response to the drivers of environmental degradation, regional priorities and the convention guidance; 2. Value addition of the Program; 3. Policy coherence of the national and consistency with broader regional objectives; 4. Results and effectiveness of the program.
