• Expression of Interest are invited for Refurbishment of the World Bank Group Basement, Brasilia, Brazil. ISSUE DATE AND TIME: Feb 01,2024 08:00 CLOSING DATE AND TIME: Mar 04,2024 12:00 CLOSING DATE AND TIME: MARCH 4, 2024 @ 12:00 PM EST The World Bank Group project involves the remodeling and adaptation of communal shared areas on the basement floor. The works encompass internal renovations of approximately 540 m2 distributed in the basement level. Civil works for various internal spaces include, among others: construction of masonry walls and lightweight acoustic systems, interior painting, new floor, wall, and ceiling finishes, signage, doors, mirrors, and fixed carpentry. The scope of work will include electromechanical systems such as: electrical and lighting system (including control), air conditioning and ventilation system, bathroom extraction, fire protection systems, plumbing, and sanitary fixtures. It also includes security systems such as: fire alarm, access control and everything requested by the Corporate Security team; IT systems, as per IT requirements and guidelines. The scope of work also includes policies, bonds, procedures and permits, preliminary and indirect activities for internal renovations. Firms must meet the following requirements to be eligible for a further evaluation: 1. Minimum sales revenue equivalent to USD 2,000,000 for the last three (3) years while performing as a General contractor performing similar to the work described. 2. Evidence of fiscal capability of USD 150,000 or Bank Guarantee. The offeror must provide a letter from a surety company confirming that it will provide respondent firm with performance bonds on the Project in an amount equal to or greater than USD 150,000. 3. Demonstrate it has financial capability to successfully support the entire contract. 4. Evidence that the Firm is registered and is authorized to engage in the Construction Business, Civil Works, Construction Services in Brasilia, Brazil. 5. Certification that the company has not been involved in any litigation action in the past 5 years 6. Firms must have been in Construction business at least 5 years and must demonstrate that over the last 3 years the firm has successfully and continuously been engaged as a General Contractor in providing similar service to those required in this IFB. 7. Confirmation that no Child or Underage Labor will be used in any part of this Construction Project. 8. Evidence of ability to obtain insurance coverage as stated below: a) Worker-s Compensation in accordance with local law or other social insurances Applicable to Contractor-s operations. b) Employer's Liability Insurance US$1,000,000 per incident, including coverage for occupational disease if not compensable under Workmen-s Compensation, or other social insurance. c) Personal Accident Insurance* Covering all employees with a death benefit equal to at least three (3) years- salary. d) Automobile Liability Insurance Minimum Statutory DPVAT + $25,000 PD, $100,000 BI) e) Builder-s Risk/Contractor All Risks Insurance Property insurance written on an ‘all risk- basis covering the property owner and the Contractor for the Works, together with materials and plant to be incorporated therein, and Contractor-s equipment and other things brought onto the site by Contractor, to the full replacement cost during the course of construction until acceptance by Owner. f) Commercial General Liability Insurance For all operations, including Contingent Liability, coverage for Subcontractors, Products and Completed Operations, and Contractual Liability (to cover assumption of liability under this Contract) with minimum limits of US$ 1,000,000 per aggregate combined.
