- Expression of Interest are invited for GHG Soy - Corn GHG Assessment Description: Addressing scope 3 emissions is important for companies who are committed to sustainability and decarbonization. Measuring scope 3 emissions provides critical information on greenhouse gas (GHG) hotspots and aids companies in prioritizing reduction strategies across the value chain.To assist clients in reducing greenhouse gas emissions from field to product, IFC would like to better understand management and agronomic practices that reduce Scope 3 emissions from soya bean suppliers. Scope 3 emissions are the result of activities not directly produced or controlled by a company, but that are a result of the company-s value chain.The study will establish baseline GHG emissions on around 32 soya farms certified or in the process to be certified as Round Table on Responsible Soy Production certification. After three years, revised estimates will be made to assess the effects of improved agronomic and management practices on Scope 3 emissions.
